GETTING TEENS REAL-WORLD READY
The H&R Block Budget Challenge is an online simulation that immerses students into the financial life of a recent college graduate. Within the game, students pay bills, manage expenses, save money, invest in retirement and pay taxes. It’s critical learning happening in classrooms nationwide and comes with the chance to win scholarships along the way.
This learn-by-doing education approach allows high schoolers to make real-world mistakes without facing real-world consequences. The best part? H&R Block provides this curriculum to high school teachers nationwide, completely free.
For 10 Students Each Year
The Budget Challenge actually pushed me to research and calculate and start a budget. It’s a tremendous help. I’ve learned more in the last two years that I participated in the Budget Challenge than I have in my whole life.
