![]() At Home As a parent, getting your teenage children on board with the importance of financial fitness starts and ends with you. The real key is opening a dialogue with them. At School More than 2,000 schools in the U.S. and Canada are participating in H&R Block Dollars & Sense by using curriculum that teaches personal finance skills to teens in a fun, interactive environment. In addition to utilizing the curriculum in the classroom, students have the opportunity to compete in the H&R Block Dollars & Sense National Challenge for college scholarships and the chance to shadow an H&R Block senior executive. This year we want to get even more schools involved to help teenagers build a solid financial foundation. If your high school is not currently featured on our Local Impact map, now is the time to get involved. We’re giving away more than $1 million in curriculum grants annually to high schools in the United States and Canada. Curriculum grants for the 2010-2011 school year have been awarded. To apply for a curriculum grant for the 2011 - 2012 school year, please come back in August 2010 for application information.
